Magnus has been building FileMaker solutions since FileMaker II and holds certifications from version 7 through 18. In 1998 he founded Premium System in Gothenburg, the company that would later become Square Moon, and has spent more than 25 years developing for the platform — most notably Premium ERP, the shared codebase behind the industry solutions Square Moon delivers to its customers.

Beyond development, Magnus has helped shape the Scandinavian FileMaker community itself. For nearly a decade he organised DevCon Scandinavia, the conference that rotated between Gothenburg, Copenhagen and Stockholm, and when that chapter ended he was a co-founder of EngageU together with Clickwork. He has spoken at a handful of these conferences over the years, usually on the practical, real-world side of FileMaker work.

In 2022, Square Moon was sold to what is today the Aderian Group — a complex process in which Magnus, as one of the principal owners, was deeply involved. Since then he has repeatedly been called in to help other FileMaker businesses through similar transitions, assembling the information that satisfies a buyer’s questions and gets the deal done. That hands-on, both-sides-of-the-table experience is exactly what he brings to his EngageU session, “When your own business is the product.”
