Welcome to the biggest conference in Europe with a focus on FileMaker and the Claris platform!
How did it all start?
Before the pandemic, Square Moon’s department in Gothenburg was part of hosting the Scandinavian DevCon now and again, which was not only for Scandinavians – everyone was welcome! (ClickWorks were frequent visitors!)
Then the pandemic hit, and we felt lost – missing the great discussions that came up after attending a session (or over a drink), missing the new connections we always made during this kind of event. What would the conference world look like once we were allowed to meet up again?
Once the restrictions were off, Joris from ClickWorks and Johan from Square Moon reached out to each other and asked the question started it all: Do you want to build a DevCon?
(Well, it went more or less like that. Don’t mind the details.)
What is it like to attend EngageU, you ask?
Great question!
EngageU is what we would call a proper devcon style conference – there’s an agenda with sessions from some of the great minds of the community.
Since the start in 2022, the conference has been two full days packed with sessions from renowned speakers within the Claris’ community. In 2026, we’ve levelled up and are now making it into a three day conference.
During these three days full of lectures with Claris and some of the best speakers within the community, we will provide you with lunch and Swedish fika (not to be confused with an ordinary coffee break). We’re also having a dinner for all attendees with a standard ticket on the first night of the conference, and if you want to bring someone, there’s a possibility to do that as well.
We also arrange a social event during the conference. Usually this is held the night before the event, but in 2026 it will be during the second day of the conference. So make sure to grab a ticket for that and you won’t have to worry about your dinner plans for that evening!
Now, you might wonder who are those wonderful people who pour their hearts and souls into making EngageU possible? Let us present:
