In 2024 we tried out the concept of a pre-conference training afternoon, to give you the opportunity of kicking off the conference a bit earlier. Turns out that you liked it, which gave us the motivation to continue doing this!
The training day is about 4 hours long, including a coffee break, and takes place at the conference venue. To sign up, you choose one of the two tracks during registration. When we’re getting closer to the conference, you will be provided with more information of the session that you’ve chosen and if there are any preparations that you need to make prior to the training.

Generative AI, Semantic Search, and RAG in FileMaker: Next-Level AI Workflows
AI is no longer just a tool—it’s a workflow accelerator. In this hands-on, interactive session, you’ll discover how Generative AI, Semantic Search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) can work together to automate content, improve search accuracy, and generate real-time insights inside FileMaker.
What You’ll Build & Learn:
✓ Generative AI for FileMaker – Automate reports, emails, and summaries using the latest AI models.
✓ Semantic Search (Vector Search) – Go beyond keywords to find the most relevant FileMaker records.
✓ Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) – Enhance AI-generated content by feeding it live FileMaker data.
✓ AI-Powered Reports in the Web Viewer – Generate interactive, AI-enhanced reports and dashboards.
✓ Multi-AI Workflows – Chain multiple AI techniques together (e.g., search → summarize → email → report).
Who Should Attend?
FileMaker developers who want practical, real-world AI workflows—without the complexity of building AI models from scratch.
Expect hands-on exercises in the provided demo file, many use-cases, and the very latest in AI-friendly FileMaker.

From hesitation to adoption: using Studio to natively capture and expose FileMaker data on the web
Claris Studio has matured significantly in the past year or so, and is now a good option to handle various use cases regarding capturing data online and pushing it to FileMaker, and exposing FileMaker data to users on the web natively.
This workshop will cover the following topics in a hands-on manner:
✓ Creating a form view, including pre-setting form fields via url (data collection use case)
✓ Creating a custom view to expose FileMaker data (customer portal use case)
✓ Configuring authentication of internal and external users
✓ Limiting user access to data via Record Level Access privileges
✓ Exchanging data between FileMaker and Studio via Studio’s new Data Sources feature
✓ Working with related data
Additionally, the presenters will share tips based on their experience using Studio on client projects, which will save you time and headaches as you start using Studio yourself.
