What does attendance cost?
The full price list is available on the start page! The standard price for the full conference (three days, not including the social event) is €1095 per person, but there is an Early Bird offer valid until June 30th for €945!
💡 Attending as a group from the same company? We also have group discounts available for companies sending five people or more. If you are ten people or more, you get an even bigger discount!
What are the VAT rules?
For attendees coming from abroad to attend the international developer conference in Sweden, it is important to note that all invoices will include VAT. This is due to the tax regulations in Sweden, which mandate that Value-Added Tax (VAT) must be charged on services provided within the country, including conference fees.
Key Points:
- VAT Inclusion: All registration fees and related services for the conference will include VAT as per Swedish tax laws. This ensures compliance with local regulations.
- VAT Rate: The standard VAT rate in Sweden is currently 25%. This rate will be applied to the total cost of all conference services.
- Non-Exemption: Unlike some countries that offer exemptions for international delegates, Sweden requires VAT to be included on invoices for all attendees, regardless of their country of origin as the conference takes place in Sweden (by Swedish law).
- VAT Refunds: Depending on the attendee’s home country and its tax agreements with Sweden, it may be possible to apply for a VAT refund. Delegates should consult their local tax authorities or a tax professional to understand the refund process and eligibility criteria.
If you have a VAT number that needs to be on the payment information, please provide your VAT-number when registering.
When does the registration close?
📆 The registration will close on September 18.
What are the cancellation terms?
Sometimes, life just happens and what was planned needs to be changed. If you're unable to attend, you can cancel your participation and get a full refund up until August 18th. If you cancel after this date, you will not receive a refund.
You also have the option of transferring your ticket to someone else - just let us know and we'll fix it!
What if the event is cancelled?
The organiser reserves the right to cancel the Event for any reason (including, without limitation, by reason of a Force Majeure Event). The Organiser shall notify the attendees and Sponsors of the cancellation as soon as possible.
The parties agree for:
- a voucher
- a refund (minus administrative fees)
Tickets will only be refunded or exchanged if the event is cancelled or moved to another date

Is there an attendee limit?
Yes, the conference venue allows for a maximum of 300 participants. We will start publishing early warnings if we are approaching this limit.

Can I bring guests to the evening events?
Yes, you can! The more, the merrier.
Please specify the required number of dinner tickets upon registration.
You can add tickets for the evening dinner on Wednesday and/or social event on Thursday. The cost per extra dinner ticket is €125.
Please specify the total number of tickets you need for both activities. Example: if you want to bring someone on Wednesday and Thursday, then please order 2 extra dinner tickets.
Who else will be there?
All who have signed up and approved for their names to be public are listed on the attendee page.

Where should I be during the conference?
Presentations will take place in three different conference rooms at the same time. Between each session, there will be a break with enough time to move between the different rooms.
On the agenda page you will find all the sessions and which room they will be held in, as well as a floor plan of the venue to find your way around!
How long will a session last?
A session is either 30 or 60 minutes, with the exception of the opening session with Claris.
What about privacy policy?
We ask your consent for:
1. Your name on the website's participant list If you do not give us your consent, then we'll not publish your name on the website. With your consent we'll also be sharing your name and e-mail address to Claris.
2. Pictures or video footage of you for promotion of the event. If you do not give us consent, then we will not publish any picture or video where you appear in a clearly recognisable fashion.
What is this "Fika" you're talking about?
The Swedish coffee break is so much more than just drinking coffee - it's a social institution!
☕️ Fika is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude, and an important part of Swedish culture. Many Swedes consider that it is almost essential to make time for fika every day. It means making time for friends and colleagues to share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a little something to eat (mostly sweet, but it could also be savory).
💡 There are a lot of theories on how the word came to be. It has been around since at least the early 1900's and the most likely theory is that it derives from the Swedish word for coffee: kaffe. One of the first mentions of it is actually from a prison, which kind of gives you a hint on how important it is for Swedes.
Will we receive the files after the conference?
Just prior to the conference, you will receive a link to a shared folder where you will find all the presentations and materials that the speakers have provided us with.
After the conference has ended and the editing has been done, all the recordings from the sessions will be added to that same folder. Later on, you will also be able to find all the recordings on our YouTube page!
Pro tip: Subscribe to our YouTube channel to get updates as soon as new videos are released — and so you don’t miss a single moment of the conference content!
What does EngageU have to do with the hotel?
As an attendee at EngageU, you're able to book a room for a fixed rate as long as there is availability. A link to the booking page will be available once the registration opens.
EngageU staff is not responsible for the booking or any issues involving your hotel room.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, everything is wheelchair accessible and all sessions are held close to each other.

For those arriving by car, there is parking available at the hotel. For an updated price list, please visit the hotel's web page.
